Kitwe City today joined the rest of the world in commemorating the World Food Safety Day under the theme:food standards save lives.
Her worship the mayor of Kitwe Ms Mpasa Mwaya officiated at the event which was held at Nakadoli Market.
Meanwhile at Kitwe City Council, the Town Clerk Mr Kambita assured members of the public of intensified food inspections,food sampling and enforcement of legislation in order to promote food safety.
